Behind The Monkey is a retailer and holder of beautiful things. The eclectic retail store is home to trinkets and treasures, clothing, jewellery and whimsical gifts.
A change of ownership saw the need for a brand refresh and the desire to improve and modernise the existing brand-mark. Whilst the store is in new hands, their vision endures thus it was important to remain as close as possible to the original branding.
A contemporary mark was created based on the original branding, featuring custom flourishes and a simple typeface. To complement the store's unique wares, copper foil was introduced to the colour palette and features throughout the marketing collateral, i.e. business cards and store bags.
